Movers in Nairobi for Homes and Offices

KejaPal Movers are movers in Nairobi who plan, pack, carry and set up your home or office with care. We move bedsitters, family homes and busy offices across the city, and we drive long-distance loads to every county in Kenya.

  • Written quote after a quick survey, in person or on video
  • Furniture wrapped and padded before it leaves the room
  • Packing, storage, cleaning and set-up when you need them
  • 5Service lines
  • 21Moving services
  • 13Towns and cities served

Moving should feel like a fresh start, not a lost weekend. So we take the heavy, fiddly and stressful parts off your hands. You tell us what is moving and where it is going. Then our crew arrives on time, wraps everything, loads it safely and puts it back together at the new place.

This page explains how we work, what we move and what a move usually costs. If you already know your dates, ask for a moving quote and we will call you back.

Why choose us

Why people choose KejaPal as their movers in Nairobi

Most moving problems are small things that nobody planned for. For example, a sofa that will not turn on the stairs, a lift that the caretaker locks at 5 pm, or a box of plates packed with nothing between them. Our process exists to catch those things early.

  • A survey before the price. We look at your home or office, in person or on a video call, so the quote matches the real load.
  • A written, itemised quote. You see the crew size, the truck, the packing materials and any extras before you agree.
  • Careful handling. Every sofa, bed and wardrobe gets blankets or stretch film, and fragile items travel in proper boxes.
  • One team from start to finish. The same crew lead packs, loads, drives and unloads, so nothing gets lost between teams.
  • Clear timing. We agree a start time, a likely finish time and who to call if anything changes.

Moving services we offer

Every move is different, so we keep our services simple and let you pick what you need.

Home moves. Our house moving service covers bungalows, maisonettes and townhouses. For flats and smaller units, see our apartment and bedsitter moves. Also, if you only have a few items, our small and budget moves use a pickup and a smaller crew.

Business moves. We run office moves in the evening or over a weekend, so staff can start work at the new desk on Monday. In addition, larger firms can book a full corporate relocation with a move plan, floor labels and a project lead.

Packing and storage. Our team can do all of the packing and unpacking for you, or simply drop off boxes and packing materials. If your new place is not ready, we keep your things in secure storage until it is.

Special items. Pianos, safes, large fridges and antique furniture need extra people and the right tools. Our furniture moving team plans those lifts before the day.

Extras. You can also book a lorry with a crew, move-out cleaning, junk removal, furniture assembly and TV mounting.

Moving with KejaPal

How a move with our Nairobi moving company works

A good move is mostly planning. That is why we follow the same steps for a bedsitter as for a four-bedroom house.

  1. Tell us about the move. Share your current address, new address, floor levels, rough size and preferred date. A short WhatsApp video of each room helps a lot.
  2. Survey and quote. Next, we check the load in person or on video. You then receive a written quote with the crew, truck size, materials and timing.
  3. Packing day. For full-service moves, the crew packs the day before or early on moving day. Each box gets a room name and a short list of contents.
  4. Loading. After that, the crew wraps furniture, takes apart beds and large tables, and loads the truck so heavy items sit low and fragile boxes sit on top.
  5. Transport. Your load travels straight to the new address. Meanwhile, the crew lead keeps you updated on the way.
  6. Unloading and set-up. Finally, we place furniture where you want it, rebuild beds and remove the wrapping. You check everything before we leave.

How movers in Nairobi price your move

Prices depend on the amount of furniture, the distance, the floor levels and how much packing you want us to do. That is why we do not publish a price list. Instead, we assess your move, send a written quote and agree the final price with you.

Full packing, stairs without a lift, long carries from the parking area and weekend dates all add work. On the other hand, flexible dates and doing your own packing can bring the price down. Our moving cost guide explains each factor in detail.

Areas our Nairobi movers cover

We move people between every part of the city. For instance, we often move families from Kilimani and Kileleshwa to Syokimau, Kitengela and Ruiru, where homes are larger. Office moves often run between Westlands, Upper Hill, the CBD and Mombasa Road.

Beyond the city, we drive full and part loads to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Meru and every other county. See the areas we serve for town guides, or read about our long-distance moves.

Who we move

Our customers are mostly ordinary households and small businesses. Young professionals move from a bedsitter to a one-bedroom flat. Growing families leave an apartment for a house with a garden. Landlords clear a unit between tenants, and shops shift to a busier street.

We also help people who cannot be there on the day. For example, a parent working abroad can send us the keys and a list, and we send photos at each step. Likewise, an employer can book and pay for a new staff member's move, and we deal with the employee directly.

Schools, churches, clinics and NGOs make up the rest. Their moves often include desks, files and equipment that must arrive in a set order, so we plan the loading list with them first.

How we protect your things

Damage usually happens in three places: on the stairs, inside the truck and at the new door. So our crew uses blankets, stretch film, corner guards and straps at each of those points. Mattresses go into plastic covers. TVs travel upright in padded boxes. Glass tops and mirrors get cardboard corners and their own space in the truck.

Before the move, we also list any item that is already damaged, so both sides agree on its condition. If you want extra protection, ask us about goods-in-transit cover. You can check that an insurer is licensed on the Insurance Regulatory Authority website.

How it works

Tips for a calm moving day in Nairobi

  • Book early for month-end. The last and first days of each month are the busiest days for movers in Nairobi, so book about two weeks ahead.
  • Talk to both caretakers. Many apartment blocks need notice for the lift, the gate and parking for a large truck.
  • Keep an essentials bag. Pack documents, chargers, medicine and a change of clothes in a bag that travels with you.
  • Clear the fridge a day early. Defrost and dry it, so it does not leak in the truck.
  • Plan for traffic. We usually start early to avoid the worst jams on Thika Road, Mombasa Road and Waiyaki Way.

For a full list, read our house moving checklist. When you are ready, send us your details. Your Nairobi movers will then plan the rest with you.

Costs and pricing

A note on moving prices

We do not publish fixed prices, because every move is different. Instead, we assess each move, send a written quote and agree the final price with you, so the figure you agree reflects your real move. If you are working to a budget, tell us early. Then we can suggest options, such as packing some boxes yourself, moving mid-month or sharing a truck on long routes.

Frequently asked questions

How much do movers in Nairobi charge for a 2-bedroom house?

It depends on the size of the move, the distance, access such as stairs and lifts, and any packing or special items. We assess the job by survey or video call, then agree the final price with you in a written quote.

How far in advance should I book a moving company?

Book one to two weeks ahead for most moves. For month-end dates, weekends and public holidays, book two to three weeks ahead because those days fill up first. We can sometimes help at short notice, so ask even if your date is close.

Do you pack everything for me?

Yes, if you want. Our full-service option covers packing, wrapping, loading, transport, unloading and set-up. You can also pack yourself and leave only the furniture and heavy items to us, which lowers the price.

Do you move outside Nairobi?

Yes. We move homes and offices from Nairobi to every county in Kenya, including Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret. We also move people into Nairobi from those towns.

Can you move us on a Sunday or at night?

Yes. Weekend and evening moves are common for offices and busy families. Some apartment blocks restrict moving hours, so we check the rules with your caretaker first.

Planning a move?

Tell us what you are moving and where. We will check the load in person or on a video call, give you a clear written quote and plan moving day with you.
